What is a semiconductor? It’s mainly produced of materials with certain resistance (it is between the resistance of a conductor and a non-conductor). The resistance of semiconductors also is affected by changes in temperature or supplementary dashes.
The material includes dashes if some other components have been put to it. The complete mixture labels the semiconductors as power semiconductor devices of type-n or type-t.
The union of type-n and type-t semiconductors is used to produce diodes as well as transistors. It’s known that now the most popular substance for semi-conductor production is silicon.
Diode then is the electronic component produced of semiconductor substance. It makes electrical current pass just in one sense. In each diode there is a layer produced of positive and negative constructions (p- and n-) as well as of so-called barrier level (known as pn-transfer). Electrical circuits which convert between alternating and direct current are produced applying diodes. Just a 1/2 of the processes or cycle is to go because diodes make current go only in one direction. Rectifier is the term for such a combination.
LED (light diodes) is a different variant of diodes. They are used in case it’s important to create light at little voltages and at the same time generate no heat. These days developers use LED light diodes as the light fixing the on mode of various electronic gadgets.
The extent of thyristors production was led by Moore’s law. Lithography is the most significant factor of producing complex power semiconductor gadgets at smaller price. Because that optical lithography is today actual no more, there’s now a tendency for new techniques. It is now actively being replaced by more modern ultraviolet lithography and nano-imprint lithography. There are more suitable candidates. Like x-ray lithography and electron beam lithography today. In Russia current sensors were first created. Specialists need those sensors to do various actions in any conditions. The sensors can be applied in either commercial, manufacture or personal constructions. The form and size of the igbt sensor can change from those little light counters to complicated counters signaling on radiation changes.
Alone the current sensor won’t do. There are lots of ways for using power system controllers. They are needed to keep system parameters like voltage, frequency, power flow, to keep an eye on the state of circuit breakers in subordinate station and the scheduled interchange of power with the neighboring power systems. System signals and the processes against them are also in their supervisory control.
For the dispatchers to fulfil these tasks they have to get a complete information of the whole power system received with the monitors of computers in different dependent stations. The status of CB’s, disconnectors, analog values and isolators or other variations of sub-station level data acquisition was for the first time found out in the RTU. Russia and China are today the biggest exporters in this field.
